Joe served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He served as a Non-distructive Aircraft Inspector for 36 years before retiring from the Air Force. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in numorus rotations.

Joseph Martin Bystedt, Age 57 of Lakeville, Passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on December 22, 2021.
Joe Bystedt, was an extraordinary man and a lover of life, who passed away suddenly at home (Lakeville) on December 22, 2021. He loved and adored his two daughters, Sam and Tori, and his “young bride”, Gina. He was also in great anticipation of his first grandchild. Joe loved the outdoors and Minneapolis, the city he called home. He had a knack for storytelling, never letting the truth get in the way of a good story. Additionally, Joe had a charitable heart. He valued service to others and was passionate about giving back. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 36 years, but served the greater good for a full 57 years.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Warren Bystedt.
Joe is survived by his wife, Gina Bystedt, his daughters Sam and Tori Bystedt, his mother Marjorie Bystedt, and four brothers, Paul Bystedt, Pete Bystedt, Mike Bystedt, and Johnny Bystedt, in addition to extended family, in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
