Leo Bauer, 98, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, at Bethlehem Manor. Born June 4, 1926, to the late Leo J. and Minnie L. (Miller) Bauer, he lived a life of dedication to family, country, and community.
A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Leo proudly served in the U.S. Air Force before beginning a long career as a technician with Bell Labs. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence defined both his military and professional life.
Leo was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Whitehall. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and casino trips, always appreciating the fun and camaraderie they brought.
Preceded in death by his siblings Ronald Bauer, Geraldine Galowitch, and Thelma Bauer, Leo is survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Avenue Whitehall, PA 18052 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9 A.M. until time of the Mass in the church. Burial will follow at Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Bally. Leo’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
