J. Norman Nester

Norman served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1951 till 1955 during the Korean War. 

J. Norman Nester enlisted in the US Navy on December 27, 1951.  He completed his basic training at the US Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL and had his graduation review from the Recruit Training Command on March 15, 1952. He then attended AKP School at the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) at Jacksonville, FL.  He graduated Airman School Class P – Class 4B Section L on     June 6, 1952. 

Norman was stationed in Millington, TN where he attended and graduated from Aviation Electronics Technician School in Memphis, TN on January 9, 1953 as a Technician Class A.  He remained at Millington, TN until February 1955.

His last assignment was in Cardana, TN until his discharge on December 15, 1955 where his final rank was Navy AT-2.

Norman did serve in the Naval Reserves until December 26, 1959.
