Ole Brandal was trained as a ship captain in Norway. He offered his services to the US Navy but they declined so he jioned the Merchant Marines and served durung WW II in that capacity. His entire family was involved in shipping.
Ole made wartime art out of a 90mm Deck Cannon shell from his ship. It is on display in the Veterans Outreach Services building 407 main street Red Hill Pa 18076.
