Leonard “Len” Paul Finkboon

Leonard “Len” Paul Finkboon, 81, of Quakertown, passed away at home, surrounded by family on August 12, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Regina Catherine (Rundle) Finkboon. Born in Geryville, he was a son of the late William F.D. and Lucy Sara (Walter) Finkboon. Len served his country honorably in the Marines at the Bay of Pigs during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Later, he was long distance truck driver for West Motor Freight, in Boyertown. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill. He was a member of the Mumbauersville Gun Club. Len was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening, especially raising gladiolas. 


Len is survived by his wife; a daughter, Holly Petitt, and her companion, Jack Frable; a grandson, Hunter, all of Quakertown; and siblings: Clarence A. Finkboon, of Red Hill and Joan Brendlinger, of Boyertown. He was pre-deceased by sisters: Pearl Bupp and Faith Bilger.


Friends may visit from 9-11 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Falk Funeral Home & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Following the service, he will be laid to rest with full miliary honors at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill.
