Walter F. Hartnett, IV, 47, of Conshohocken, PA passed away Monday, June 9, 2025.
He was born in Roxborough, Pennsylvania on September 3, 1977, the son of Walter F. Hartnett, III and Nancy Bird. Walter attended Colonial School District and Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, he graduated from Wildwood High School. He was a Sergeant in the US Army, where he received Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device. He worked as a Veteran Affairs Case Worker for Congresswoman Madeline Dean. He also was Co-Chair VFW Department of Pennsylvania, District Commander of PA VFW District 16, and Quartermaster of Conshohocken VFW Post 1074. He was the husband of Ashley K. (Thomas) Hartnett, they were married on December 2, 2005. Survivors include Wife Ashley K. Hartnett of Conshohocken, Pa, Son Eric Lee of Conshohocken, Pa, Son Walter F. Hartnett, V of Conshohocken, Pa, Daughter Gianna Hartnett of Conshohocken, Pa, Daughter Hailey Hartnett of Conshohocken, Pa, Mother Nancy (George Hrin) Bird of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Father Walter F. (Donna) Hartnett, III of Conshohocken, Pa, Grandmother Francine Hartnett, Sister Danielle Flynn of Maple Shade, NJ, Brother AJ (Natalie) Zeltner of Boyertown, Pa, Sister Samantha N'Diaye of Conshohocken, Pa, Brother Christopher (Annie) Hartnett of Schwenksville, Pa, Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 9:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.
Friends may call on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and Morning Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 11:30 AM with military honors.
