John “Jack” Quigg, 76, of Palm passed away on Friday, September 1st, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Frick) Quigg. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Frederick and Theresa (McGinley) Quigg. Jack went to St. Philip Neri Catholic School until 8th Grade and graduated from Boyertown Area High School. He then went to serve our country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jack worked in shipping and receiving for Merck until he retired. Following his early retirement from Merck, he drove school bus for Gross Bus Company. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troop 367 as an Assistant Scout Master in 1980's and 90's; the Upper Perkiomen Lodge #595 of the F.&A.M.,and VFW Post 5954 in Red Hill; Past President of the Clara Creek Hunting Club, and The Upper Frederick Fire Company. Jack was a fan of the Eagles and the Steelers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed trips with his family to the shore and to Knobel’s Grove. He was a scuba diver and instructor for the North Penn YMCA. He also enjoyed golfing in leagues at Hickory Valley Golf Club and bowling with the church league. Most of all, Jack loved his family. He followed all of his children and grandchildren in all of the sports and activities they participated in. He was a quiet man with a great sense of humor, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons: John B. Jr. and Carolyn, NJ, Aaron M. of Cleona, PA, Nathan A. of Palm, PA, and Brandon Frick of Leesport, PA; his grandchildren: Corinne, Emma, Alexandra, Gabriella, John III, and Tyler, brothers: Robert T. (Shelly) and Frederick D. a sister in law, Tracey Frick; his beloved dog, Eloise; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
All are invited to gather from 2 – 3 pm on Monday September 11, with a memorial service at 3pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Rd., Zieglerville PA 19492.
