The Upper Perkiomen VFW Post 5954 is in the process of restoring the Red Hill War Memorial. We will be installing earth tone bricks with veterans names engraved on them to replace the current slate walkway leading to the monument. To compliment the bricks we will also be linking the veterans named on the bricks to an online Memorial page hosted on our website using a QR code. Visitors will be able to scan a QR code and read the stories of the veterans named on the bricks at the monument. Veterans will have their stories preserved for future generations and accessible to anyone online. We will also give family members 2 keychain medallions with the veteran’s individual QR code printed on one side and a picture of the veteran on the other. The family can hang one medallion on the veteran’s military grave marker ,if the veteran has passed, so visitors to the grave can read the veterans story and keep one to allow easy access to the veterans Memorial page. Bricks can be purchased for any veteran from anywhere in the country. The Bricks, Medallions, and the memorial page post will cost $75.00.
The Comrades below are listed in alphabetical order. Click on the name of the Comrade below their picture for additional information and pictures.
