Vincent Pistagnesi, 89, of Pennsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026. He was born in Sant'Elpidio, Italy, to the late Alexander and Maria (Massi) Pistagnesi. Vincent is now reunited with his beloved wife, Katherine (Van Horn) Pistagnesi, who he cherished until her passing in 1992.A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Vincent dedicated many years of his life as an Electronics Technician at Leeds & Northrup before finishing his working career at Max Control Systems.Vincent was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, PA. His passion for life extended beyond his professional career; he loved to travel; taking trips to Alaska, Florida, out west and Italy. He was an avid golfer, participating in a league at Macoby Run Golf Course where he forged enduring friendships. He found peace and contentment in nature, tending to his vegetable gardens and spending time at the reservoir and also had a unique appreciation for collecting and making model planes.Above all, Vincent cherished his family. He loved being a "Papa" to all of his grandchildren and he deeply valued the time spent with them, creating memories that will be held dear in their hearts.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughters: Linda Hanes (Michael), Carol Stutzman (Loren), Diane Amoss, and Denise Ruth (Jeremiah); his beloved grandchildren: Nathan Schellhamer, Nicholas Hanes, Kevin Hanes, Alyssa Schellhamer, Collin Amoss, Maxwell Hanes, Derek Amoss, Katelyn Stutzman, Ethan Ruth, Logan Ruth and Cody Stutzman; three great-grandchildren: Alexis Schellhamer, Eliana Amoss and Brynnleigh Stutzman; his sister: Theresa Sozio; and his longtime companion: Shirley Heverly. He is predeceased by a grandson: Justin Heffentrager and his brother: Lido Pistagnesi.
A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1244 St Paul's Church Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place across the street in the church cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
