Mission Statement: Our mission is to help those who have served our nation. Working with our partners at the Veterans Administration, the Montgomery County Veterans Affairs Office, and Local and State government officials, we have created assistance programs that help local veterans who are struggling with PTSD, Drug and Alcohol addictions, and homelessness receive the help and services they have earned.

VETERAN OUTREACH MEANS SO MUCH MORE THAN A BED

At VFW Post 5954 we live by the Motto “No One Does More For Veterans Than The VFW”. We know how to help veterans because we are veterans. Our members have been there and seen what civilians could never even imaging. The horror of war does not leave a veteran when they board a plane and return to the United States. It is with us everyday and only a fellow veteran can understand why so many of our brothers and sisters struggle upon return home. We Understand and We Can Help.

We at the Perkiomen Valley VFW Post 5954 are so proud of our work building strong community relations while providing local and national veteran programs to support those who gave so much for our nation. Working with our partners at the Veterans Administration, the Montgomery County Veterans Affairs Office, and Local and State government officials, we have created assistance programs that help local veterans in Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Lehigh, and surrounding counties.

HOUSING PROVIDED 24 HOURS A DAY

No veteran will be out in the cold as long as the VFW is here. We find housing 24 hours a day for any veteran in need. We have partnered with hotels to provide immediate support if needed.

FREE MEALS AND CAMARADERIE PROVIDED TO VETERANS

Because our outreach center is located next door to VFW Post 5954 we are able to feed veterans nutritious meals for free in our posts full service restaurant as well as entertainment and combradiery right next door.

OUR OWN BUS TO TRANSPORT VETERANS

We utilize our Post bus to transport veterans to appointments as well a take our vets on excursions to places alike Maguire AFB, Philadelphia Reading Terminal Market, Shady Maple and many more places to entertain and help our veterans relax.

-VA Counseling in house -Certified VA Service Officer in house

-Transport services for veteran appointments -Clothing, Food, and Necessities provided on premise.
