Raymond Michael Fackler

Raymond Michael Fackler 11/10/1918- 1996(not sure of month and day)

  Born and raised in Hornerstown, PA.  It’s really an extremely little burg outside of Hummelstown. They did have a store, church, hotel, and schoolhouse.  My dad was the oldest of 11. 

  He was in France and England.  80th Infantry Division 8th Air-force. PFC. JTRC training in Spartansburg South Carolina. While serving in France he wrote that he saw a friend shot in the attack on a mountain, Mt. Saint Jeans. 

Before he was drafted, he was working at Harrisburg Steel Company making bombs.  He also wrote he trained in Sioux Falls South Dakota airfield.
